2012 GPAS Events Greece Sympony Piano Concerto Concert Sunday, March 11th, 3:00 PM Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3001 Dewey Avenue The symphony will perform Mozart's Symphony #39 Featured soloists will be Eric Hauck, a Nazareth college freshman performing Piano Concerto, by Grieg and Hsin-Mei Chang, singing arias by Schubert and Richard Strauss A Night of Irish Music and Dance Tuesday, March 20th, 7:00 PM, doors open at 6:30 PM Greece Concert Band, Athena Percussion Ensemble, Athena String Orchestra, Rochester Scottish Pipes and Drums Marino/White Family Dancers Athena Performing Arts Center, 800 Long Pond Road Free, general admission. Annual Winter Pops Concert: Saturday, March 24th, 7:00 PM Athena High School gymnasium, 800 Long Pond road This cabaret style seating concert will include all 5 groups Light refreshments will be offered, raffle prizes throughout the night $5.00 per person admission, tickets sold at the door Doors will open at 6:30 PM. 17th Annual Notable Garden Tour Saturday, June 16th, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, rain or shine Tickets will be available at Greece area garden centers by Mothers Day $15.00 in advance, $20.00 the day of the tour. This is a self-guided tour where your guidebook is your ticket At each garden you will experience musicians, garden artists and light refreshments 6 gardens will be on display, including at the Greece Historical Society A plant sale at a garden yet-to-be named will also offered Choral Society Spring Concert Sunday, May 6th, 3:30 PM, doors open at 3:00 PM "A Tribute to Broadway" St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue This is a free concert. Wegmans Concerts by the Shores Gazebo at Charlotte Beach Wednesday, August 1st Choral Society and Jazz Band Greece Supervisors Concert Series All concerts are at 2:00 PM, on the lawn of the Greece Town Hall Sunday, May 27th - Concert Band Sunday, July 8th - Symphony Orchestra Sunday, August 5th - Choral Society Sunday, September 9th - Jazz Band
